A: VIE stands for Virtual Interactive Environment. It is Real-Time visualization service that uses latest game engine from Epic®

Q: Why use Real-Time visualization over conventional 3D walkthrough animation?
A: With real-time visualization, you have full freedom to wander around in your own design. With no time limit and no pre-determined camera path telling you where to look. Plus, you can even interact with the environment. Power of Unreal Engine 3 allows you to interact with every aspect of the environment.

Q: Why use game engine?
A: Game industry is at the forefront of real-time graphics and they are fast developing thanks to its active market. Graphic engines and advanced features enable high quality graphics in real-time without sacrificing quality. Also, game engine is by far the most compatible platform.

Q: Do you only do architecture?
A: We have developed our demo based on architectural development because of our familiarity with the industry but the application for this service is limitless. Architects, engineers, designers, and yacht manufacturers are just a few of the examples where this service can be applied.

Q: What hardware does it run on?
A: Because it is based on Unreal Engine 3, it can run on most Windows based desktop PC and fast laptops with DirectX 9. No special hardwares are required.

Production

Q: How much time does it take for production?
A: That's very general question and it will vary depending on the size of the project. But typically, development process is quicker than developing conventional 3D animation because there is no rendering and editing time involved. Also, any changes or revisions can be made quicker.

Q: Can you reuse data from CAD?
A: We can import data from major CAD and modeling software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DS Max, Maya, Solidworks, etc. Importing data will decrease production time significantly.

Q: How much is it?
A: Pricing depends on the scale and complexity of the project. In general, it doesn't cost much more than conventional 3D walkthrough animations. We're very friendly people so we encourage you to contact us with your project details for more accurate quote.
